Our Story

Why Keystone Assets Reunited exists

Our journey began with an unexpected discovery. Like most people, we had no idea unclaimed property even existed. We weren’t looking for it, and we certainly weren’t expecting what we found. It was by pure luck that we stumbled onto the program one afternoon, and what we found shocked us. There was money in our names — money we didn’t know existed and had never been told about.

Then, we dug deeper. Not only did we find unclaimed funds in our own names, but also in the names of our spouses, parents, cousins, and even a grandparent who had passed away decades earlier. Thousands of dollars that belonged to our family had been sitting with the state for years, unnoticed and untouched, simply because no one knew to look for it or how to claim it.

That discovery stuck with us. It was hard to imagine that people could go their entire lives without ever knowing money was owed to them — and that in some cases, it could sit there long after they were gone. How many families missed out simply because they didn’t know to look, or because the process was unfamiliar?

The more we learned, the more we realized how widespread unclaimed property really is. Millions of Pennsylvanians have property held by the state, and while the Treasury does their best to reunite owners with their funds, the sheer volume of unclaimed property makes it difficult to reach everyone directly.

We couldn’t help but think about the countless others who might be in the same situation — money sitting in their name, but completely unaware this even exists, or unsure how to move forward once they find out.

That’s what led us to create Keystone Assets Reunited.

Our mission is simple: to help Pennsylvanians identify and recover property that rightfully belongs to them or their families.

We focus on bringing awareness, answering questions, and helping people move through the claims process with clarity and confidence so that absolutely no funds remain unclaimed. Whether the property belongs to you, a parent, or a long-deceased relative, our goal is the same: to help reunite you with what is already yours.

This work matters to us because we’ve seen firsthand how easily these funds can remain unclaimed forever.

If we can help people recover money they never knew was theirs — money that might otherwise remain with the state indefinitely — then we’re doing exactly what we set out to do.

If our story sounds familiar — or if you’ve ever wondered whether something might be out there with your name on it — then we’re here to help.
